A full blown movie would of course be GREAT! (Giant robots on the giant screen!)But a series would probably be more affordable.
Hey Fon is that a picture of you in the gallery working on the robot?
BTW, my RN-1 is coming along nicely. I should have my vacuum table up and working soon!

 RE:
We'll do everything we can to get both done. From a production point of view each has different scheduling and budgetary advantages.
I guess we should add captions, eh? That picture is of Grant Imahara working on the Generation one. He's been our main robotics guru. My picture is on the creators page.
I built our vacuum former using a 2.5 HP Shopvac and 2 space heaters with a welded metal frame and wood base. It works great!
Let us know how it goes.

First and foremost, I'd like to see storylines that aren't overdone. Sad to say, but the "loyal army fighting for the king" deal's been done in every genre to date, and overdone at that. I understand that your influences are Japanese giant robot stories, and that's why you're producing this whole line, but I hope you've concocted some variety to the tales yet untold.
I'd most enjoy a series, proper television run, simply because that would allow for the most storytelling. I know it would limit the overall budget, but the robos only need to be believable in their context, not ultra-rendered shiners. I'd also much prefer a series of shorter stories, unconnected, than one long arc, or perhaps a number of "chapters" to a longer story focusing on multiple people and SIDES. I have to emphasize the idea that this show/comic/movie needs to focus on both sides in any conflict without real bias. What I mean is, it gets boring to have evil and good. You need "our side is right" and "no, ours is" more than "we need to save the island/country/world from the blah blah bladdia blah".
I guess what I'm saying is, make it real enough and yet have giant robos.
I love the whole thing, by the way. Always wanted to see live-action Mechwarrior. This is good enough.

I agree with Nimdok on all of his points.
There are numerous TV shows that have been successful based on their exploitation of both the individual, stand-alone story within the over-arching story arc. Personally, I loved the Babylon 5 format: individual stories, character development, coupled with the multiple sub-plots, tied together under an overarching story. I haven't followed BG as much as I would like, and don't have a feel at this point if the producers have developed anything more than, "lets find Earth."
I'm not so sure that we have to have both sides of the story told, at least initially. That might be part of the plot complications. Let the viewers discover, perhaps even as the writers do, the motivations for conflict. I like idea of there being no "true good" or "true evil;" both qualities can be components of both "sides" and make for a more compelling story. Compelling stories are driven, at least in part, by character maturation. Star Trek is nice, but the characters tend to wake up each day the same way they went to bed yesterday.
Television or Movie (either theatre or STV (Straight2Video)) would be fine with me.
... and Toys. Giant Robot figures would be cool. Like Robotech.

So far, what you've done looks promising indeed. I'd like to think that you can keep it pure and true to your original vision whilst transferring it to several different media. Experience tells me that this probably won't be the case, and the intentions that began this will begin to fade as more and more people get involved. I hope you manage to strike a good balance, and that work on all your projects flows nicely together.
I agree with the last post, in that a little moral ambiguity always makes things interesting, and that having a goal to work towards helps to keep your narrative flowing. Having a story which attempts to mirror the real world with no resolution to plot just makes people lose interest (have you seen Lost lately???) so it would be good to include chapters if you plan on building an alternate future timeline, to keep it stuctured instead of letting it ramble (like me).
On the other hand, I don't think that there is anything wrong with showing your roots, and I think that paying homage to your predecessors could work wonders for you, especially since you need a frame of reference to bring in the fans. As long as you don't stoop to plagiarism, I think you'll do well.
That said as long is it has giant robots in it, I for one will sit up and listen, and when you make an action figure of the generation 3 I will buy it with my copy of the comic.
Keep up the good work.

Not bad, reminded me immediately of Front Mission, Dougram, and Patlabor all at once Arguably some of my fondest memories from my formative years.
Though countering what some of the other people have said: Tone it down on the moral relativism if that's possible, sometimes an audience (ok, fine, me) just wants to have a side to cheer for.
As for what I'd like to see on the series: Maybe its a weird request, but how about some believable story arcs about espionage between the factions over the emerging technology? Not so much James Bond, but more like the type of spy games played over the atomic bomb during/after WWII.

 webisodes
web episodes would be awsome for testing the media and the fan responce, and also to build a fandom for your tv or film versions of the M.O.R.A.V. series.
so yeah web eps would be somewere id start, that way you could control your episodes release and final episodes results even better.
